Youth Mental Health First Aid

When someone experiences a physical injury, most of us instinctively know to call 9-1-1. But when it comes to mental health challenges—like seeing someone having a panic attack or noticing signs of depression or suicidal thoughts in a youth —many of us feel uncertain about how to help. Mental health struggles are often invisible, and too often, those who are suffering don’t get the support they desperately need. It’s important that we all learn to recognize these signs and offer the compassion and help that can make a difference.
